Milestones

During 2008/2009 a number of remarkable milestones were achieved as a tangible confirmation of the efforts exerted by EGAS:

• Total number of gas consumers reached 3.3 million in June 2009 within an ambitious plan that aims to deliver gas to 5.5 million housing units until year 2015.
• Until June 2009, the total number of converted vehicles since the start of Egypt's using natural gas for vehicles has reached 100 thousand vehicles.
• Total number of CNG fueling stations reached 119 stations in June 2009.
• Six companies take part in this activity : Cargas, Gas Tech, Shell Express, Arabia Gas, Master Gas and Total Egypt)
