Policy Statement

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) was established in August 2001 within an overall strategy for the Ministry of Petroleum to focus on all aspects of Natural Gas activities.

The company has put on top of its priorities the quality of services, the protection of employees, assets and the environment and made it one of its basic elements of equal importance as the development of EGAS resources. Our success to achieve our goal depends on our ability to continuously improve the Company Management System.

QHSE is the responsibility of line management, with the active commitment and support of all company employees. Line management has a leadership role in communication, implementation, and ensuring compliance with the applicable legal requirements and other requirements of the QHSE standards.

We will ensure the execution of QHSE policy through setting objectives, targets and an action plan. Also this policy will be reviewed whenever needed.

This commitment is for the best interest of our customers, our employees, our stakeholders and the communities in which we live and work.

To achieve this end, the Company has set the following principles:

• Comply with legislations relevant to its activities
• Achieve continual improvement in the field of Safety and Environment
• Supervise and follow up of Safety and Environmental activities within EGAS and EGAS affiliated Companies
• Investigate and analyse incidents to prevent its recurrence
• Review Risk and Environmental Assessments
• Secure a safe working environment by providing necessary training and awareness among its employees
