The Ministry of Petroleum is currently considering possible funding by the World Bank for a gas connection project for 2 million residential customers in Greater Cairo.
The first public consultation meeting was held on Saturday 25 November 2006 at Cairo Ramses Hilton.
This is an integral part of the environmental and social impact assessment study, as required by the Egyptian Environmental affairs Agency (EEAA) and the World Bank.
The final public consultation meeting will be held on Wednesday 27 December 2006 at the same venue.
