Chairman Assistant For Occupational Health & Safety
Sameh Sayed Abd El - Razek was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1960. He received the in B.Sc. In Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, 1983
In 1984, he joined the Cairo Oil Refinery Company, as Safety and Fire Specialist, and as Safety Engineer at ENPPI from 1994 to 1996. In 1997 became a Safety Advisor for AL-Furate Petroleum Company (Syria) and in 1999 as a Safety Engineer at Khalda Petroleum Company (Egypt) and in 2000 as HSE & Fire Fighting Consultant at ABB Petroleum Technology. He also served as a Safety advisor for Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA –OPCO) on (Zakum) ZWSC Platform at 2007. He is currently the Assistant Chairman for Occupational Health and Safety at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS).
He was the Safety Advisor for the construction of the first Offshore Platform “NAF” By ENPPI as well as the Biggest Offshore Platform at Abu Dhabi by Hyundai for ADMA-OPCO. He also participated in major construction and operation projects for Cairo Oil refinery Company “CORC” (Construction of Isomerization Units) as well as Shell Owned Productions Facilities in Syria (Furate Petroleum Company), He also Established the First Environmental Analysis Laboratory at the Cairo Oil Refinery Company while serving as the department manager for the Environmental analysis Division.
He Led Several Major Emergency Responses While Serving as Lead Geographical committee member for Firefighting at Mostorod Area. He Participated in the Investigation for several Major Accidents in the Oil and Gas Sector to determine Root Causes and to communicate lessons learned to all Relevant stakeholders to prevent reoccurrence. While Serving as Assistant Chairman for OH&S at EGAS he led the issuing of the Unified Incident Reporting system for effective monitoring and benchmarking of EGAS Affiliates HSE performance, as well as maximizing the benefit of learning from Past Experiences throughout the Oil and Gas Sector in Egypt. He was appointed as a member for the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Supreme Committee for Environmental protection and occupational Health and Safety at 2018. He Also Participated with the Civil Defense Authority for the standardization of fire Protection requirements for Natural Gas Pressure Reduction, Metering and odorizing stations.
