The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company EGAS was established as an entity mandated to organize and manage all natural gas activities in Egypt.

Activities include: Prospecting, Drilling, Exploration, and Production development of natural gas, and other activities related to gas, such as processing, transportation, distribution in the domestic market, marketing, liquefaction and facilities.

EGAS aims to implement Egypt Vision 2030, and Petroleum Sector strategies within the framework of effective plans to improve the exploitation of natural gas resources, which contributes to strengthening the Egyptian economy.
